Shadow theater uses light, a screen, and performers’ bodies and props to create images for an audience.

I founded Athens Shadow Theater in 2023 after several years of teaching the art. I wanted to keep sharing it with young people here and give them the chance to create stories together. We welcome children and teens with different interests, backgrounds, and body types. Some perform; others help with movement, music, props, or sound.

We bring shadow theater workshops and performances to local schools and community spaces, where children can try the art for themselves and share what they create with others.
