I’m Annalee Whitehead, founder and director of Athens Shadow Theater. I spent several years teaching shadow theater before starting the company in 2023. I have a degree in Creative Writing and a background in ballet and acro.

I especially enjoy watching a group find the shapes and timing that make a story appear on the screen. My hope is to help more young people discover what they can create together.
